One of the common questions we are asked about our Blue Bio is whether it is suitable for Septic Tanks? And the answer is YES, in fact its very good for septic tanks. Since it harnesses the power of nature and contains no harmful chemicals it is safe to use and has no harmful environmental impacts. Not only that but Blue Bio can actually be used to boost the bacteria already working hard in septic tanks, it’s even been used to restart them before!
A question we often get asked is why people can’t buy Denatured Alcohol any more. Producing, stocking, distributing, selling or using, Denatured Alcohol requires a license or authority from HMRC Revenue and Custom (for further information on this, please visit HMRC). We must see a copy of your license in order to sell you this product and we will take a copy to keep on file. However, if you are looking for this product and do not have a license we do have an alternative. Wessex Alcohol Mix is a 50:50 mix of IPA and ethanol (whereas Denatured alcohol has a higher percentage of ethanol and is denatured with methanol to make it undrinkable). Wessex Alcohol Mix has similar properties to Denatured Alcohol and does not require a license. If you want to know more, why not check out our the product page on our website or alternatively give our Technical Team a ring.
One of the questions we are asked most frequently about our Teak Cleaner and Teak Renovator is how much coverage will you get? It does depend on the dilution but on average one litre of either product will cover 12 – 18 square metres of teak. This should make it easier to work out how much product you need and remember we also do Teak Cleaner and Teak Renovator in 3.25 litres and 5 litres. Want to know more? Why not check out the Product Page?
Another question we often get asked is can our Teak Cleaner and Teak Renovator be used on woods other than teak? The simple answer to that is YES! Our teak products can be used on any hard wood!
One of the questions we get asked a lot is ‘Why can’t I buy Oxalic Acid any more?’ The reason is due to a change in legislation. The Explosive Precursors and Poisons Legislation 2018 (EPP) meant that Oxalic acid (above 10% w/w) could only be purchased by a professional user, using a business bank card, or by a member of the public who owns a valid EPP license. But don’t worry if you don’t hold an EPP license or have a trade account, we make brilliant product which is Oxalic Acid based – Hull White which can be purchased and used by a member of the public. Our Hull White has less than 10% oxalic acid w/w and is effective at cleaning fibreglass hulls. Want to know more? Check out our Hull White page on our website!
We’re often asked if our Canopy Cleaner contains bleach and the answer is NO!
Another common questions is whether Canopy Cleaner will fade the colours of awnings and canopies and again the answer is NO! Canopy Cleaner was specifically designed to leave behind a protective film which helps prevent UV fading which means your canopy or awning should keep its colour for longer! If you want to find out more, then check out the Canopy Cleaner & Protector page.
One of the questions we’re asked the most about Waterless Wash, is whether it contains silicone or china clay, two materials common in vehicle cleaning products. The answer is a definite ‘No’! Some silicones have been found to be persistent, bio accumulative and toxic. And the mining of china clay, in Cornwall, produces a massive 9 tonnes of waste for every 1 tonne quarried!
Our Waterless Wash has been specifically designed to have minimal impact on the environment so it is safe to use anywhere and is 100% biodegradable and non-hazardous. This question frequently arises because customers are impressed with the finish they get after using Waterless Wash, well this is due to the layer of buffable polymer that it leaves behind. This means your vehicle will look shiny and clean but not only that, the polymer forms a protective layer that will make dirt easier to clean off the next time! Want to find out more? Why not check out the Waterless Wash page.colour for longer! If you want to find out more, then check out the Canopy Cleaner & Protector page.
Another question we are asked is when will orders be dispatched? As a general rule of thumb if your order arrives before 12.00 (midday) on a Monday – Thursday then your order will be dispatched the same day. If you order on a Friday, weekend day or Bank holiday, then your order will be dispatched on the next working day. Our courier service is a Next Day one but the current high demand means this is occasionally 2 days. If you live in certain areas (highlands or islands of Scotland for example then it is usually a 2 day service).
We track all our parcels to make sure they arrive so if there is a problem or if the courier was unable to deliver we will be in touch to resolve the issue as soon as possible! If you experience any issues please get in touch with us and we will aim to resolve them ASAP!
We do frequently get asked where we can deliver to! We can deliver to anywhere in mainland UK. However, due to our courier rates, deliveries to Northern Scotland (Highlands, Aberdeenshire parts of Perthshire), Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight and some other outer islands, there is an additional delivery charge. If you live in one of these areas please contact us directly. We can quote you individual delivery rates or possibly direct you to one of our distributors which may be more local! If you want to order from Europe or beyond please check out our distributor page on our website. We have distributors in various countries who may be able to assist with your order.
